日用品を拘束したり積み上げていくインスタレーション作品のシリーズを個展、グループ展で数多く発表している。
「日頃見慣れている風景の中で、直接には脈略のないもの同士が上下に重なりあったり、ずれたりすることで新しい意味を作り 出したり、思いもかけなかったユーモアが生まれる瞬間があります。それは現代の生活で目にするSNSや動画共有サイトのタイ ムラインで起こる小さな偶然にも似ています。

Ogata is known for creating sculptures from stacking and binding everyday objects, presenting them in both solo and group exhibitions.
“When objects that have nothing in common are stacked, there is this one moment where discover humor. On the other hand there is a moment where things just don’t work out.
This is similar to the small miracles (humors) that occur within the flowing images in the SNS timelines we see everyday. I seek to create the same moment of impermanence and contingency by using everyday objects." - Kazuma Ogata
